Hopefully you were able to enjoy some time with your loved one today. If you went to dinner, don’t stress it!
On Sunday we ran the super Sunday 4 Miler. It was a great race. I ran the furthest I have ever run since I began running in October. It felt great and it was also my best run. I managed to post my best times on all 4 miles.
When I stop to look back it still amazes me how far I have come in the last 6-10 months. Never did I think I would hike, let alone run for fun. I am having a blast and learning so much along the way. The next race is a St. Patrick’s race, I can’t wait!
The weather has been great and the sap is flowing and we will be making Maple Syrup before you know it!
So all in all todays lesson is this: when you think you’re having an off day or week and things feel like you’re going backwards stop and reflect. Reflecting can be a great way to remind yourself just how far you’ve come on your journey. Remember, a bad day doesn’t define you. Take the hood with the bad, but strive for more good than bad. Change isn’t easy. If it was, we all would do it!
