Goal Check in

Good Morning! It’s hard to believe we are half way through January already. How are you new years goals going so far? Are you crushing them, or do you need to adjust the course. Always make time to look at where you are in your journey and do not be afraid to make adjustments if necessary.

Goals!

A couple days ago I continued with one of my goals to run more races. This was the second race of the year and first 5k of the year for us. It was a lot of fun, I ran a great race and continue to improve each time. I am not running for anyone else but myself and to challenge myself and that feels great. Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy running, but 119 pounds lighter and here we are. This guy enjoys running and hiking and challenging himself like never before! Wow how things can change.

The Journey

By now, I hope you’ve found this blog because you’re on a fasting journey and looking for other peoples story to inspire you. The two year fasting mark has come and gone for me and I have no plans for changing the course. This lifestyle is great and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have not missed a day fasting yet and I do not plan to.

Today’s Tips and tricks…

When I started fasting, I downloaded an app. I won’t tell you which one as it doesn’t matter to me, you do what works for you. I use the app to only track my fasting time and weight loss so I would not forget when I started and when I stopped. I strongly encourage you to use an app to keep track. If you would rather, use a pen and paper and take notes each day. It’s hard to remember progress once you get going into it and this way you can easily look and see where you’re at each day.

The other tip I have is never stop learning. When I was 4 months or so into my first year, I heard about a book called Fast. Feast. Repeat. By Gin Stephens. I downloaded the audio book and it truly changed my fasting life. It helped me to have a better understanding of what I was trying to accomplish and she breaks it down into ways we can easily understand. With that better understanding of what we are doing and what our body is doing the possibilities are truly endless.

Have a great day, and don’t forget to hydrate!

A beautiful day to enjoy coffee and get outside!
